Snake oil or miracle help?
Have you heard about CBD — the non-intoxicating marijuana extracts that some claim can treat a host of medical problems?
Except for its approval of the use of CBD to treat rare forms of childhood epilepsy, the Federal Food and Drug Administration has not approved the use of CBD oils and has issued warnings that claims about its effectiveness are not proven.
Proponents of CBD, however, say the extracts help treat a host of medical problems, including epileptic seizures, anxiety, inflammation, sleeplessness, psoriasis, fibromyalgia, hormone balancing and more.
Sandra Hickman, founder of Healing Intention Community, will bring us up to date on what’s known about CBD oils and the various forms it is available in, including drops, gel caps, edibles, topicals and inhalants. She will also discuss the quality of products to assure safety and proper usage.
Her organization’s tenets are to be open-minded and receptive to alternative techniques, products and services that support our well-being. Hickman has a wealth of knowledge on the subject and is ready to answer your questions.
