Are you divorced, widowed or single and tired of being alone? Have you looked around at everything going on in PebbleCreek and thought to yourself “Oh, I wish I had someone to go with to that concert/event/party” but stayed home instead? That’s no fun and no way to spend your retirement. These are meant to be glorious years: filled with friends, pleasures and life’s little moments…made all that much better when you have someone to share it all with.
Have you ever thought about finding that special someone through internet dating? Now long established, internet dating has come a long way since match.com first showed up in 1995! There are now many sites to choose from, depending on who you’re looking for, and at a vast range of prices and subscribers. Are you curious but scared to put information ‘out there'? Spend an afternoon on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 1 p.m., with Caela Casarino as she explains the pleasures (and perils!) of internet dating. You will learn first how to review the various sites to help narrow your search. Then we will discuss how to create a profile: what to say and what not to say, choosing pictures, creating boundaries and dealbreakers.
This promises to be a fun afternoon as Caela shares stories of her internet dating experiences, assistance in creating your profile worksheets, and words of encouragement to help you on your way to finding that certain someone you might be looking for!
Caela Casarino has a B.S. in Sociology from UCLA and has always considered herself an ‘informal behavioral scientist’. While she is not an expert in internet dating, she is very experienced in the art of online dating. Divorced since 2009, she has had several long-term relationships with men she met on line, but is still looking for ‘the one’.
