burnsRegistration Opens at 8 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 4 Whether you are already receiving Social Security benefits or are wondering what is the best age to file, you will learn a lot of new information in this class with Jack Burns, a public affairs specialist with the Social Security Administration.

Jack returns to update us on the recent changes to consider when deciding if it is time for you to collect Social Security. He will also inform us about the benefits the Social Security program offers beyond the common retirement calculation.

This course is designed for current recipients, as well as those who are weighing their filing options. Topics included are the requirements necessary to receive benefits, the SSA methodology used in benefit calculations, the options for maximizing benefits and the strategies for determining the optimal time to file.

Relevant information about Medicare, as well as directions on how to create your own personal Social Security account, are included in this informative class.

This class will be presented via Zoom and is limited to 50 participants. The lecture is free but registration is required. Registered attendees will receive the Zoom invitation a few days prior to the event.
