Each year, LifeLong Learning at PC presents several free programs for the community that aim to encourage conversation and understanding among PebbleCreek's residents.
While there is no charge for these events, registration is required due to space limitations. Registration opens one month before the event.
These programs fall into four categories:
Guitar Group, our second year-round program, meets twice a month in the LLL Center to play and present various topics to the community. Register to be in the small audience and learn more about world cultures and our own USA via these players. Meets 2nd and 4th Wednesdays 3 - 5 p.m.
PC Reads: A year round and monthly "drop in book club" now in its second year meets the first Thursday of every month at 5:30 p.m. in the LLL Center.
Sunday Series: For three afternoons enjoy an entertaining and educational cultural program from 2-3:30 p.m. in The Chianti Room. This year we feature Dixieland music, several guitar players singing songs you like to hear and SoSco, a popular valley guitar and flutist duo singing songs from around the world.
TED Talks, small discussion groups focused on a wide range of topics, prompted by a video from TED, meets on the second Thursday of the month from 2 - 4 p.m. from November through March, in the Palm Room.
This year they are sponsoring a TED Talk Extravaganza on Thursday, January 30, an all day showing of TED Talks in the Theater from 10 a.m. to 4:20 p.m.
