Learn About Our Snowbirds' Home
What do our Canadian neighbors have in common with those from the U.S., and what are the differences?
Although the U.S. and Canada share the longest undefended border in the world, many Americans are unaware of Canada’s diversity, linguistic history or the unique contributions Canadians have made to American society.
In this light-hearted interactive presentation, PC resident Rob Clemens explores the similarities and differences between our two countries and cultures. And if you’re planning a trip north of the border, you’ll learn what to expect during your travels, why you’ll need loonies and what not to pack for your vacation. At the end of the presentation, Rob hopes you’ll finally understand what your Canadian neighbors are talking “about.”
Snowbirds from Ontario, Canada, Rob and his wife Karen purchased a villa in PebbleCreek in 2014. Before retiring Rob spent thirty years in the energy sector involved with the construction, commissioning and operation of large electrical generating stations. During his time as a training supervisor, he was tasked with developing, delivering and evaluating training for a large Canadian utility. He’s also performed audits and training sessions at a number of U.S. facilities, including the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station in Arizona.
