Wynette ReedGoodyear remains one of the fastest growing cities in the United States with more people and businesses calling Goodyear home every day. On Monday, March 24, 10 a.m., Goodyear City Manager Wynette Reed will talk about growth in Goodyear, as well as trends in commercial and residential development. Reed will also touch on the recent update to the City’s General Plan, and highlight major projects in the works and on the horizon for our great city.  It’s been a blockbuster year! 

Reed was appointed City Manager in February 2023. She has more than 37 years of municipal government experience, including over 26 years in management/leadership roles. 

Prior to being appointed City Manager February 2023, Reed was the city's Human Resources Director and was soon promoted to Deputy City Manager in March 2013 and has overseen every department in the city during her tenure.

Wynette Reed has experience in strategic planning, organizational development, and human capital planning. She graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences and a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership. In July 2015, she was awarded a certificate of completion for the Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program, Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Executive Education. This past October, she was recognized as one of the 2024 Women Achievers of Arizona by the Arizona Capitol Times.

Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. in the lobby of the Renaissance Theater and are $5 at the door. No registration is required. 

The theater is equipped with a hearing loop system which is a special type of sound system for people who use hearing aids. The loop system provides a magnetic wireless signal that is picked up by a hearing aid when it is set to the T-setting (telecoil). Many hearing aids are equipped with telecoil technology.
