fioretti for web editedIf you didn't get the chance to take Gene Fioretti's class in previous seasons, he's back for another class on making artisan bread!  The class is offered on Monday, Nov. 18, 1 p.m.

Fioretti will demonstrate the vital steps in mixing, forming, and baking this wonderful loaf.  At the end of the class, you will see the loaf that has been baking all through the class.  He will give you a copy of the recipe, and there will be ample time to discuss the tips and techniques of artisan bread-making.
Artisan Bread
In the class, Fioretti will use a recipe for a perfect, healthy bread for the novice baker.  No-knead and rustic, with a country bread taste. It is nearly fool-proof and cooks in a dutch oven.  Learning to make this bread should build your confidence in making great tasting bread at home and expand your horizons in baking all kinds of breads.

Fioretti is a retired cardiologist, who learned to bake bread in 1979 from one of his patients, a retired German baker.  After he successfully helped the baker through his heart attack, the baker repaid him with a daylong bread class at his home.  Gene has been baking ever since.
