You can make baguettes at home! On Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 1 p.m., Gene Fioretti is again teaching his popular (in PebbleCreek, anyway) class on how to make those crisp, long-loaved baguettes at your house, even without the special oven the French bakeries use.
In visiting his home for this class, you get a close, upfront look at all the steps and techniques involved. People who have taken Fioretti's class in past years have raved about it. Their neighbors are probably raving about their baguettes too. Learn how to make this French delicacy!
Fioretti is a retired cardiologist, who learned to bake bread in 1979 from one of his patients, a retired German baker. After he successfully helped the baker through his heart attack, the baker repaid him with a daylong bread class at his home. Gene has been baking ever since.
