On Wednesday, Feb. 19, 11 a.m., Julie Kim presents an encore of her popular class to once again share the rich flavors of Korean cuisine. With over 20 years of experience through the International Youth Fellowship, including teaching Korean cooking to Native American youth, Julia will share ancient culinary wisdom passed down for generations.
Join the culinary experience for an engaging and interactive Mandu making class where you'll learn the art of crafting delicious Korean dumplings from scratch. What to expect:
- Ingredients and preparation: discover the essential ingredients and how to prepare them, including making the perfect dumpling filling with a mix of vegetables, pork meat, and seasonings
- Folding techniques: master various folding techniques to create beautiful and uniform dumplings.
- Cooking methods: learn different methods of cooking Mandu, such as steaming, boiling, and pan-frying, to achieve different textures and flavors
- Tasting session: sample your own handmade Mandu
- Take-home recipes: recreate the delicious Mandu at home with a recipe power point
