Behind the Lens
The world of film is fascinating to us all. TV, movies, and commercials captivate us with depictions of a world that cannot possibly be real, but looks oh so real on screen. On Monday, Feb. 17, 10 a.m., PebbleCreek resident and videographer Frank Datzer provides an insiders look at the making of movies and commercials and a peek at how the magic is made.
Here at PebbleCreek Frank has launched a Facebook page for videos of our community – the PebbleCreek Video Podcast page with over 1200 resident subscribers. It features interviews with various staff and employees. It keeps us abreast of the progress of the new WestWind Tavern and its new menu. And he gives us an inside look at our HOA communications team, the pickleball tournaments and Luke Air Force Base.
Frank Datzer got his start in the industry as a freelance camera operator and developed a thriving business providing high-quality videography and production services to commercial pieces, public service announcements and three independent feature films. He later worked for GE Medical Technology and was a regional manager for a television equipment company.
Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. in the lobby of the Renaissance Theater and are $5 at the door. No registration is required.
The theater is equipped with a hearing loop system which is a special type of sound system for people who use hearing aids. The loop system provides a magnetic wireless signal that is picked up by a hearing aid when it is set to the T-setting (telecoil). Many hearing aids are equipped with telecoil technology.
