Enjoy a private tour of StateFarm Stadium. We will explore various areas behind the scenes and are privileged to view the retractable field being rolled in! Other areas to be explored include the Cardinals Hall of Famers area, Cardinals Press Conference Room, the NFL Visiting Team Locker Room, Press Box, and an exclusive Private Loft.
State Farm Stadium is one of only two NFL sites that has an operable retractable field. The playing field’s natural grass grows outside to take advantage of maximum sunlight, water, and nourishment. Before a game, the field crew brings the grass into the stadium on a field tray that has 546 steel wheels that rest on 13 railroad-like tracks. The stadium is considered an architectural icon in the Arizona region and was named by Business Week as one of the ten “most impressive” sports facilities on the globe due to the combination of its retractable roof (engineering design by Walter P Moore) and roll-in natural grass field.
Please note that tour routes may vary based on stadium availability. The hour and a quarter long experience will entertain and educate everyone - from those who can't tell a first down from a touchdown to the die-hard football fanatic! Remember your camera to capture the scenes from awe-inspiring viewpoints. Time permitting, when we return to the bus, we will try to visit the Cardinals official NFL store for a souvenir.
